What. Why. Who? Please do not let me meet the creator of this little picture. “Being submissive gives her more power?” I can’t even. I have no words. I’m over people being SO overconcerned with black women, how we’re viewed, how we view ourselves, and a host of other issues that have absolutely nothing to do with those making these types of pictures. I never see these types of pictures criticizing black men, and black male hypermasculinity. And i didn’t know it was a requirement for me to cook and clean. Why don’t men learn some household skills so their homes don’t look like alleys? And they’re not eating ramen and sandwiches every night? I don’t understand why what WE do has to be for men. I can’t believe people would find fault in “strong and independent”. Why would we WANT to have to depend on someone else? And I’m glad we’re STRONG so we can deal with the bullshyt like this we see every other day.
